About
Get to know the Founder of Amerilangue
Born and raised in Chicago, I began my violin journey at the age of four. Over the course of 18 years, I had over 500 violin concerts as a soloist and orchestra member. I had the pleasure to perform in places such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Sydney Opera House, Chicago Symphony Orchestra Hall, Łancut Castle's Ballroom and many more.
At the same time, living in the diverse city of Chicago gave me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and engage in wonderful cultural events. Thanks to sharing the common language of English, I developed an interest in different cultures. This led me to develop an interest in travelling to other parts of the world to engage with people of all walks of life.
After visiting over 30 countries I decided to take on a new path and live outside the USA. I moved to Warsaw, Poland where I began my path with teaching English as a foreign language. I realised how incredible and satisfactory the journey was for me as a teacher while watching students' progress and open their language barriers one step at a time. I quickly and whole-heartedly accepted that teaching was my true calling. During my 5 years in Warsaw I have worked with children and adults from Poland, Germany, Italy, South Korea, and Japan.
As a big advocate of combining skills into one practice, I am also the founder of Violinglish, a musical platform connecting instrumental playing with language learning. Here, students' can learn instruments and naturally engage with the English language to develop two useful skills at the same time.
I currently live in Angouleme, France where I continue my work with not only teaching the English language alongside the violin, but also connecting people through music and opening barriers for speaking English as a foreign language.
